Career Advancement Research Grant with Kristin Bivens, Harold Washington College: $1,200; “mHealth Apps & Usability.” This project analyzes reviewer comments posted on the iOS and Android platforms for the emergency response app, PulsePoint. For preliminary results, see our Experience Report published in the 2019 SIGDOC Conference Proceedings.

University of Delaware General University Research Program. (2014-2016) $6000. “Instruction in Visual Communication in the Technical Communication Classroom: A Study of Teaching Practice.” My 2016 article in the Journal-of-Technical-Writing-and-Communication reports select results from this project.
